Many of your top clients/donors know the value of their equities, real estate, and art collections; however they did not know they could appraise their life insurance portfolio. Through this appraisal, they could explore donating or monetizing this intangible asset to produce tangible results for causes they care deeply about.

Over $100 billion of life insurance lapses annually on people 65 and older. Did you know there was a regulated secondary market to value life insurance policies? Learn how charities and other philanthropic organizations are repositioning life insurance assets that have been donated for planned giving purposes. By simply integrating a secondary market valuation into your process, you can assist in determining the value of this unrealized asset that many times can be worth 5-10 times more than the cash surrender value.

It is impossible to make an informed decision or recommendation to clients regarding managing their assets without first knowing their value. This session will discuss how to determine what a policy is worth. We’ll discuss many of the most common case studies where charitable organizations can benefit today by appraising and monetizing policies that are being considered for lapse or surrender.
