The Great Paradigm Shift: In Debt America to Endow America, the Good Citizen and Social Secharity

Les Winston, AiP Foundation

We are on the cusp of a significant change in the world. We have entered the "Era of Humankindness". This "Era of Humankindness" will require our communities to provide the "human caring resources" through viable, efficient charitable entities.

This is occurring and will continue to be true as government withdraws, at all levels, from providing for the "social" needs of individuals and families.

  Les Winston

I graduated from North Miami High School and from the University of Miami. I received a Bachelor of Science from the latter. I have been in the insurance and financial services industry for over 40 years Miami. I am a registered investment advisor and hold the following industry designations:  Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy; Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter; Accredited Advisor in Insurance

For the past five years, I have served as President of the Aventura Sunny Isles Beach Chamber of Commerce and Community Development and as the Chairman of the national non -profit organization, Advisors in Philanthropy Foundation. Both of these positions are voluntary.

In 2016 I was given the Fithian Leadership Award from the International Association of Advisors in Philanthropy. This award recognizes annually an individual with a distinguished career in service to the philanthropic community. Awardees are chosen for their efforts to uphold the standards of excellence in ethics, service and charitable planning encouraged by the Association.

For more than ten years I hosted Funny Money Radio in the Miami listener market. The show was created to influence smart philanthropic planning in the community.
